Is alcohol a stimulant or a depressant?
We all get exciting about a night of clubbing or bar-crawling. From the pre-drink beers, to the round of shots once you enter the building, then the vodkas/scotches you have onwards into the wee hours of the morning.
Then it all hits you. By 4 or 5am you’re a zombie stumbling around in the gutter. Contempt to pull plastic bag on top of you for warmth.
So, is drinking a fun time, or an inevitable pain in the gluteus maximus? It’s all about your perspective, bro.
What about this:
Is weight lifting worth it?
The biggest dude in your gym, who has been at it for 5+ years will be quick to describe all the benefits of lifting. He’ll drool on about the constant mirror of success and effort that lifting provides. How you can see immediate results for your efforts. It is one of the most immediate “work hard : get results” gratifications available.
But, ask the same question to a skinny dude who’s just finished his first workout in over a year?
His tears of contempt will whine about the frustration of ‘having so much less strength than before’. Don’t forget all the “DOMS” (delayed onset muscle soreness) that will come the next day. (For those not in the ‘know’, that’s the major pains in your muscles the day AFTER you do some kind of unusual workout you’re not used to.)
Same question, vastly different perspectives.
Key word being ‘perspective’.
Two dudes, Mike and Zac.
Mike was told about Daygame from one of his buddies. This friend gave him a 20 minute rundown about the basics of Daygame. Then he showed him a Daygame approach or two.
Mike got a bit excited “down-below” as he saw his buddy walk up to a girl he’d never met before. Mike watched in amazement as his friend had a conversation with her, and end up taking her phone number.
There was a tinge of excitement growing in Mike’s heart, with a bit of fear mixed in for good measure.
His friend returns from the scene of his Daygame crime, smiling ear-to-ear. He then takes an eternity to brag about this ‘new hot chick I’m soooo gonna bone dude’.
This rush is enough to push Mike into his first ever Daygame set. Alas, poor Mikey has barely any foundation or theory about conversation and Daygame skill to assist him. He bombs, the girl brushes right past him, waving the ‘weirdo’ away.
That’s it. Done. Finished. Finito.
Mike accepts that this ”isn’t for him” and goes home to masturbate with his tears while he mass right-swipes on tinder all night.
But then there’s Zac. Legend has it he’s a Daygame O.G. (The legends are wrong, like everyone else in this world, there’s more for even him to learn – but he’s still drudging down this path of self improvement.)
Zac had studied a lot of Daygame material and theory. He’d watched a lot of infield Daygame pick-up examples. He knew, in theory, what a good Daygame approach looked like.
Sadly, his first approach was a failure – much like Mike’s Daygame attempt from above. The chick turned and walked away from him.
Strangely though, Zac brushed this failure off and accepted it as his very first *learning curve* in the realms of Daygame interaction.
His next approach was 0.001% of a degree less awkward. Though it still bombed.
As for the third approach?
Well it was 0.003% of a degree less awkward than his 2nd approach.
This spiral of improvement expedited over time thanks to the “snowball effect”.
Zac now smashes Daygame (and hawt girlz) on the regular.
While Mike just wasted another box of Kleenex on a new hot blonde girl who took 2 dicks on camera for money.
How you look at failure is essential.
In the short term, it stings. Rejections suck. Flaked dates suck. Dates that lead no-where suck. Last minute resistance and blue balls suck.
However, success and girls sucking your dick on the regular doesn’t suck. (Well, technically I guess they do ‘suck’, right?)
This inevitable success awaits those who have the right mental make-up and subscribe to positive forms of perspective. Not only in Daygame, but daily life itself.
I have listed my perspectives and what YOU can expect as you graduate throughout your Daygame journey here:
